A Nativity Play in Three Scenes by BERNARD WALKE
Relayed from the PARISH CHURCH of ST. HILARY, CORNWALL
(From Plymouth)
The annual Nativity Play from St.
Hilary has become a broadcasting tradition. A new play had been written and announced for this year, but it was decided to retain Bethlehem. It is the work of Father Bernard Walke , who has also written The Western Land, The Little Ass, and, recently, The Eve of All Souls. The play is acted by the villagers of St. Hilary, and the simplicity and sincerity of these Cornish players is exactly right for the telling of the Christmas story.
