THE Royal Free Hospital was the first General
Hospital to provide a medical education for women, and tonight's appeal ia on behalf of the Royal Free Hospital Women's Medical
School. In the wards of the Royal Free, alone of. the twelve teaching hospitals of London, are facilities given to women for the hospital experience essential to a medical training.

THIS, the most popular of-Schubert's choral compositions, was written in the last year of his life, and first performed at a concert promoted to obtain funds for erecting his tombstone. The original accompaniment was written for pianoforte only, as were so many of Schubert's choral works. The orchestration is by Lachner.
