Joan and Betty's Bible Story: The Walls of Jericho by Mr. E.R. Appleton, West Regional Director

For some time the stories for Joan and Betty have been taken from the travels of St. Paul. Today they will be told one of the most dramatic episodes of the Old Testament.
The Children of Israel, led by Joshua, pass before the Ark of the Lord and lay the famous Twelve Stones, which are to be a sign to their children for ever of the power of the Lord to deliver them. The people then reach Jericho and, led by the seven priests, march round the city, once a day for six days and seven times on the seventh day. They had been promised that in this way the walls of the city would fall before them.
