The Rev. Preb. C.W.H. Sewell, appealing on behalf of the Plymouth Branch of the Police Court Mission

The National Police Court Mission was founded in the year 1876 under the auspices of the Church of England Temperance Society. The Mission at present employs over two hundred female and male missionaries who are engaged in their work of redemption and prevention in the Police Courts of our cities and most of the large towns. The work is undenominational and the missionaries are ready to help all who pass through the courts to make a fresh start in life.
