Cast:
Mind Picture: In the music-room of a house off Pilgrim Street, Newcastle (a house which still stands in what is known as Anderson Place). Mr. Blackett and his wife are listening to the playing of a spinet. They are the hosts of Charles I... for nine months a virtual prisoner with the Scottish Army, to whom he has fled from Cromwell. An attempt at escape by way of the Tyne has just been frustrated, but the King still underrates the peril of his position.
