THE cricket season of 1927 will be remembered for two things-the devastation wrought in the counties' match-lists by rain, and the remarkable stroke of good fortune by which Lancashire retained the Championship after Notts seemed to have it in their grasp. But apart from these memorable features, the summer has seen many fine matches and many notable triumphs on the Old Trafford ground, and this talk, by Lancashire's own cricket expert, will interest all lovers of the game.
