Cast :
This little play is the amusing history of how a Scotch Elder received the news of his son's wedding to an actress, and the strategy which caused him to be eventually reconciled to the fact.
The Scene is the kitchen-sitting-room in Tammas Anderson 's cottage on a summer afternoon. Maggie, his sister, is about to lay the tea-table as the clock strikes four.
