B.B.C. Birthday Programme. 7.30-9.30.
We invite Listeners' attention to the fact that we are two years old to-day. To celebrate this occasion, we intend to inflict on you a programme entirely provided by ourselves. We shall leave the details of this programme to the inspiration of the moment, but, broadly speaking, we hope to fill the time with that hilarity which is peculiar to birthday celebrations.
We shall try to amuse both our visible and invisible audience at one and the same time.
We have arranged a little light music from half-past seven until eight; after this, the staff will be let loose on the microphone until 9.30.
Thereafter there will be a News Bulletin and a Talk by Viscount Grey.
The Savoy Bands will conclude the evening.
