Life at Hillside Hall has been complicated by Mrs. Morris's removal to hospital. A blood transfusion was found to be necessary, and Jago proved to be the only available donor belonging to the same rare blood group. At Dr. Dale's request he abandoned his appointment with a Paris art dealer and came at once to the hospital, thereby saving Mrs. Morris's life. Myra, who has always been critical of Jago, has come to change her view of him.
