Gwen has gone on with the decision to divorce David but is secretly regretting it. After his resignation as Managing Director, Tom has returned to Draycotts' as Personnel Manager. Sally has decided to go back to London as Richard is due back from Cyprus. She had hoped that the builders would go on with the work at her Exton Boutique, but Mrs. Freeman has discovered that there is damp in Evening Hall and she has persuaded Mr. Long to deal with her requirements first. Mrs. Dale has been busy trying to introduce art therapy to the Geriatric Ward in Exton Hospital.
