Jenny asked Effie Cadwallander to tea with the twins but the party was not a success. Bob has been trying to cure Molly Baxter 's ' crush ' on him and has arranged a party so that she can meet some young men. A doctor in old Exton has had to go to hospital with a heart attack, and Dr. Robertson has suggested that Dr. Dale looks after his practice. Mrs. Dale has tried to patch things up between Janet and Carl by asking them both to dinner.
