Dr. and Mrs. Dale visited Exton again and had lunch with the Robertsons. Mrs. Dale looked at houses while Dr. Dale was taken round one of the factories. A few days later Dr. Dale heard officially that the job was his if he wanted it. Mr. and Mrs. Owen came to say goodbye before going to Wales. Mrs. Dale paid another visit to Exton and saw the housing people-after which she came back to Virginia Lodge full of enthusiasm about the future, only to find Dr. Dale wavering about the job and the great change it would entail.
