George Chorleigh has at last taken a firm line with Sue and they arc formally engaged. Sue came in to show us the ring but Jim was so engrossed in an advertisement he was looking at that he gave her scant attention. Jenny has decided to sell the River House in order to help Bob out of his difficulties at the garage. So I looked after the children while she went down to show some prospective buyers round.
