Sally twisted her ankle and had to spend a few days at home, but she went back to ' Stephanie' on Tuesday. Miriam has taken a job on Women Today' and says she'll be glad to be independent. Mrs. Sandiman came to talk me into doing more work for the W.V.S.; when I tried to explain about my work on the Emergency Rota she obviously couldn't understand my point of view.

Odell and Heather motoring from Canada to the U.S.A. are involved in a case of narcotics smuggling. With the help of Kay Elland they are released from custody, but are persuaded by the police to deliver a package of captured heroin to an address in Montreal. Stopping for the night at a roadside hotel, their slumbers arc disturbed by the sound of a loud explosion.
