Mrs. Dale writes:
As soon as we realised how ill Mother was Sally cancelled her flight again and Bob and Jenny decided not to go away for Easter. I was horrified when Jim told me that he was sending Mother to hospital. I felt sure I could nurse her myself, but I had to give in and the ambulance came for her on Tuesday. She was unconscious when they carried her out; they put her in an oxygen tent and all we could do was wait, and hope.
