Script by Lesley Wilson
Produced by Betty Davies and Eileen Cullen
Sally apologised to Mrs. Freeman for losing her temper. Jenny decided to put the Owens' furniture in store and give her parents a cheque, pretending it had been sold. Sue found out George was responsible for sending her tins of food, and returned them all to him, furious. Mrs. Dale, helped by Fickling, had a restful Christmas. Mr. Bonner asked Isobel to resign as Mayoress; she flew into a rage and told him that she would not resign, but would never speak to him again. Dr. Dale told Maggs to unfelt the house, as it was too hot.
