(Repeated on Tuesday at 11.15 a.m.)

Isobel Fielding told Sally that she would have to leave 'Sarah' at the end of the week because she and Edward were going on a continental holiday. Vivien Farrell agreed to take over 'Sarah' while Richard Fulton was away. Sally took a small flat for six months. Caradoc came to Virginia Lodge to see Janet; while he was there Miriam arrived. She was very angry with the Dales for allowing Janet to see Caradoc, and said she was going to take Janet home. Dotty Odgers was visited by a school attendance officer who told her that Renee had been cutting school. Dotty was very upset, and was afraid Sam would be very angry if he found out.
