Repeated on Wednesday at 11.15 a.m. Sally heard that she would have to find new premises for ' Sarah,' because all the shops in Church Street were to be pulled down for road widening. She discussed with Henry and Sam Odgers , who were in the same plight, what they were going to do. Mrs. Dale went to take Monument to the home, but when It came to the point he refused to go. Mrs. Mountford came out of hospital and went into the nursing home. Gwen took a job as secretary to Alec's partner, Ransome; Mrs. Dale was horrified when she heard, and made up her mind to try and stop it. Flora Dale came down to May in her flat; her children, Roy and Ellie, tried to persuade her to make Grandfather Dale give up Kings Acre and settle permanently in London.
