presented by members of the Younger Generation
Is This Really Our Business?
To many under-twenties, the United Nations is the concern only of politicians and statesmen, and yet through its various agencies it is helping young people in many lands towards a better life, fighting disease, providing food, clothes, and a greater chance of education. Is there a part to be played by the young people of this country? Mary Duddy poses the question and, helped with recordings made here and overseas, attempts to provide a practical answer.

A programme for parents
Their questions about education and after answered and discussed
3—' What is a Secondary Modern School ? '
The Secondary Modern School is often regarded as the place where children go if they 'fail' their 11-plus exam. In this programme three heads of secondary modern schools (in Hertfordshire, Middlesex and Surrey), interviewed with some of their pupils, tell what kind of work is done in their schools. Francis Cammaerts discusses with a Director of Education whether what they have said gives a fair picture of secondary modern schools in general.
Parents are invited to send their questions on postcards to ' Ps and Qs,' BBC, Broadcasting House, London, W.1
