Mr. Belkins had a heart attack at the Dales' house and had to be put in the spare room. Maud French called to tell Mrs. Freeman that she was going to Australia to lecture to the Aborigines. Tiffin got engaged to Mrs. Meadows. Madge Curran asked Gwen if she would share a Scandinavian girl to look after the children; David was offered a job doing murals in a Kensington nursery.
