Mrs. Dale, the doctor's wife, records the daily happenings in the life of her family
Having finished her hat-making lessons, Sally turned her top room into a millinery workroom. When Saily's portrait was completed, she discovered chat Richard Fulton had already bought it and that Oswald Garnish planned to submit it to the Royal Academy. As lessee of her cottage on Parkwood Lodge estate, Mrs. Tiffin was persuaded to lodge an objection to the Compulsory Purchase Order for the Estate. Jenny arrived unexpectedly from Melburgh, very upset at Clive Matron's behaviour towards her. After some difficulty. Bob persuaded her that it would be letting the whole company down if she did not go back. Trevor met Richard Fulton, with whom he got on very well, particularly since he admired Mr. Fulton's latest book. Mrs. Freeman was visited by a detective investigating the case of the stolen scarves. Isabel invited Mrs. Dale and Mrs. Freeman to go with her to the Grand National.
