' No luv-that's not Charlie, that's Fred,' said a certain bus conductress to a little girl who, after hearing Jean Sutcliffe's story of Charlie's Big Red Bus, was convinced that every bus driver might be ' Charlie.' This little girl, and, we believe, many other children, too, will welcome news of the bus, and of Charlie and his mate, Bill, when Julia Lang cornea to the microphone today and tomorrow.

The Dale's Christmas: Mrs. Mountford gate-crashed their party on Boxing Day, and Maud French created a scene because Ned Hopkins told her at rhe party that if he ever thought of getting married again he would bear her in mind. Billy was christened: and during the evening of the same day Trudi returned unexpectedly. Bob was delighted.
New Year's Eve: Dr. and Mrs. Dale and Sally looked after Billy so that Gwen and David could go to a local dance. Mrs. Morgan was very distressed because Alf, her son-in-law, called on her at Virgin. Lodge and said he intended findmg Dotty and the baby and making them return to him.
