Hector McNeil, a newcomer to ' Any Questions?,' has been Member of Parliament (Labour) for Greenock since 1941. In 1942 he became Joint Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of War Transport, and in 1950 he was appointed Secretary of State for Scotland. While Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, he represented Great Britain at international conferences.
