from the Church of St. Saviour, Splott, Cardiff.
Conducted by the Vicar, Canon Norman G. Mathews

The Parish of Roath, St. Saviour, with a population of some 32,000, lies in one of the busiest parts of Cardiff dockland. Within living memory, this district has grown from a couple of farms and a few scattered houses with surrounding allotments and tide-fields into miles of streets and the crowded district called Splott. St. Saviour's Vicarage itself was formerly Splott Farm and the green, with the graceful crucifix dominating the west front of the Church, makes a striking oasis in otherwise monotonous surroundings.
