An impromptu talk by Heinrich Harrer author of the recently published book, ' Seven Years in Tibet'
Heinrich Harrer, an Austrian mountaineer and Olympic skiing champion, is one of the very few Europeans who nave been inside Tibet. Climbing in the Himalayas in 1939, Mr. Harrer was caught by the outbreak of the war and interned in India. He managed to escape and after an epic journey across the Himalayas reached Tibet where he stayed for seven years, becoming unofficial tutor to the Dalai Lama.
