from St. George's Church Camberwell, London.
Preacher, The Vicar, The Rev. Eric James
Assistant curates, The Rev. Christopher Gonin and The Rev. John Latham
St. George's, Camberwell, has become widely known as it has tried to work out a pattern of worship and life appropriate to the working-class world of today. This morning's service reflects the ideas of what is called the 'Liturgical Movement', which has swept the Continent and which in England now is making the Holy Communion service once again the main service of many churches.
