with Max and Elisabeth Robertson.

From British Guiana Max and Elisabeth fly north to Grenada where, on their tour of the island, they see the weekly wash being done in the river and watch children playing cricket in the road.
Back in St. George's, the capital, they visit the market, and later, down in the harbour, Max tries his skill as a deep-sea diver.

Introduced by Max and Elisabeth Robertson.

An enquiry by Christopher Mayhew, M.P.
What class do you belong to?
What class does your neighbour belong to?
How does it affect your life?

Some people who are still in the class they were born into find the problems of social class important; others who move from one class to another, willingly or reluctantly, sometimes feel them even more keenly.
How class affects the lives of various people in different ways is shown in the second programme in this series.
