West Wycombe Park in Buckinghamshire, now the property of the National Trust, has been the home of the Dashwood family since 1698.
Lady Dashwood is in the studio to discuss the intriguing personality of Sir Francis Dashwood, who is said to have designed the present house in the eighteenth century.
The house, with its richly decorated interiors by the Italian artist Borghini romantic grounds and temples, and the famous church on the hill with its golden ball are described by Geoffrey Boumphrey.

West Wycombe is open to the public every day this month from 2.15 p.m. to 6.0 p.m.
