by Gordon Daviot.
[Starring] Andrew Osborn and Joyce Heron

The play opens in 1385 at the Palace of Westminster, and during the period of fourteen years the action passes to the Royal Palaces at Eltham and Sheen (now destroyed), the Tower of London. Paris, and Conway Castle, and finishes with the King abdication in London. Richard II died at Pontefract (Pomfret Castle) in 1399, but whether by foul play or from natural causes remains a matter of doubt.
(Alan Lawrence is appearing in 'The Man from the Ministry'; John Mackwood, in 'Now Barabbas'; Oscar Quitak appears by permission of the Old Vic Theatre Company)
