New series 1/3. Pop giant Elton John celebrates his 60th birthday tomorrow, and for the occasion talks broadcaster Paul Sexton through his career in an extensive new interview. The once-glam music mogul has sold an estimated 250 million records, many of them collaborations with lyricist Bernie Taupin, who also reflects on his working partner's grandiose oeuvre. And fanning the flames of festiveness are Rod Stewart, Brian Wilson, Kiki Dee, Gary Osborne, Rufus Wainwright, Jake Shears (of Scissor Sisters), guitarists Davey Johnstone and Caleb Quayle, and Philip Norman.
