2/4. Bob Harris profiles perhaps the most famous of all folk-rock acts and one whose "supergroup" status derived from the formidable pedigrees of its members - David Crosby (the Byrds), Graham Nash (the Hollies), and Stephen Stills and Neil Young (the Buffalo Springfield). The story continues with the band's iconic appearance at Woodstock and the arrival of Neil Young , who did not appear on the 1969 debut Crosby, Stills and Nash. The quartet were at the peak of their countercultural powers in 1970, with a number-one LP - Déjà Vu - and a quartet of hit singles, including Woodstock, Teach Your Children, Our House and the hip and hard-hitting Ohio, written after National Guardsmen gunned down four students at a Kent State University anti-war demonstration.
