2/4. Bob Harris profiles perhaps the most famous of all folk-rock acts and one whose "supergroup" status derived from the formidable pedigrees of its members - David Crosby (the Byrds), Graham Nash (the Hollies), and Stephen Stills and Neil Young (the Buffalo Springfield). The quartet were at the peak of their countercultural powers in 1970, with a number-one LP - Déjà Vu - and a quartet of hit singles, including Woodstock, Teach Your Children, Our House and the hip and hard-hitting Ohio, written after National Guardsmen gunned down four students at a Kent State University anti-war demonstration.
