The first of a three-part series documenting the career of broadcaster, singer and country music historian Wally Whyton, discovers how he set about his early career as a singer with the Vipers skiffle group. Friends remember him as the leader of a group that among others boasted Tommy Steele, Hank Marvin and Jet Harris as sometime members. But the skiffle era was soon to pass.
