Conrad, Orwell and Ewart-Evans. Simon Loftus, who helped develop local brewers Adnams into one of the major forces in the British wine industry, reflects on his wine writing and love of art. The programme joins another local, traditional singer John "Dusso" Winter for a song and a pint in the Harbour Inn, while novelist
Susan Hill reflects on her sequel to Daphne du
Maurier's Rebecca and a different project with garden designer Rory Stuart. Roy Hattersley reflects on 50 years with the Labour Party and the BBC's former political editor John Cole views politics from the other side of the fence.
