Across Two Cultures
The final guest of the series is theatre director
Jatinder Verma , who was born and brought up in Kenya until he moved to
Britain at the age of 14. He founded the Tara Arts Asian
Theatre Company in 1976 and has presented more than 40 plays, often adapting them himself, the latest being Moliere's Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme last autumn. This year's projects include Cyrano de Bergerac for the Royal
National Theatre, which will then tour India.
