NEW Paul James presents the first of six programmes featuring some of the best European folk groups, recorded during their visits to the UK. This week, six-piece Hungarian band Vasmalom recorded at the Holgate Theatre, Nottingham. They specialise in traditional tunes from the Hungarian-speaking regions of Europe, and with instruments like the cimbalom, trumpet-violin and percussion bass viol, create a distinctive and exciting Magyar sound.
