Euthanasia
The recent case of Nigel Cox , the doctor who administered a lethal dose to one of his patients to ease her suffering by hastening her death, has once more breathed life into an old subject - Do we have a right to choose the means and the time of our own death?
But the moral dilemmas remain as difficult as ever. Should doctors have the right to take the life of a patient who is suffering intolerably; or does euthanasia break the most basic code of civilised society? The dilemma is centuries old, but is it time our attitudes to euthanasia were reassessed?
Brian Hayes waits to hear your view.
