present A House in a Garden
Gloria and Alan continue their special summer season of outside broadcasts from stately homes by crossing the sea to
Ireland to visit Mount Stewart. Built in the early 19th century and now owned by the National Trust, the estate is of great historical and architectural importance. Its garden has been described as one of the best in Britain, as it contains many fine examples of subtropical plants and trees with unrivalled views across Strangford Loch and the Mountains of Mourne.
