Stanley Peril and Miss Wellworthy set out for Italy, on the instruction of British Intelligence, to find why murder had been done to get possession of a plan to build an oxygen plant in Arabia. On the way Stanley was framed for murder, but escaped from the police. With Miss Wellworthy, he broke into a house in Naples, the gang's headquarters, and found a letter from Beirut and a map of Arabia. The crooks returned unexpectedly; Stanley and Miss Wellworthy escaped through a cellar and an underground canal - but then they heard a launch coming towards them from the sea...
