Lois, still in hospital, has shown signs of improvement. Mrs. Dale and Sally Jiave had a disagreement over Sally's male friends, but relations between Mrs. Dale and Jenny have improved. Barry, one of Gwen's student lodgers, has passed his exams; Mark, the other, has shown signs of developing a crush on Gwen.
