Radio 3 Lunchtime Concert: Wall2Wall FiddleFest
Recorded at the Guildhall in Derry at this year's Wall2Wall FiddleFest, violinist Alexander Sitkovetsky and pianist Katya Apekisheva perform repertoire for the romantic violin. Grieg's dramatic Sonata No 3 is the last piece of chamber music he completed at his home, Troldhaugen, in 1887. It is coupled with one of Cesar Franck's most admired works, his Violin Sonata in A.
