Vienna ABC
A comedy farce by DAVID MARSHALL with Geoffrey Matthews as Len and Miriam Margolyes as Kay LEN : Listen Kay , could it have been as early as June the 14th 1914? I mean, that's early summer.
KAY: Well ...
LEN: So it was June the 14th. You know what, don't you? Kafka was only on the same train as the Lenins, that's all. We've got ourselves a scoop.
KAY: Hang on. According to the Diaries he spent the whole of that summer in Prague ...
LEN: Codswallop. That was just a cover while he was having it off with Lenin's wife. It all adds up to the eternal triangle, the good old ABC.
Len and Kay produce a story outline for a TV documentary on Lenin, and Kay's embryonic romantic novel about Kafka is subsumed under Len's Lenin project.

Jean-Francois Revel , French writer and columnist of L'Express, in conversation with writer David Caute.
In La tentation totalitaire, published in France earlier this year, M Revel, himself a man of the French Left, criticised the attitudes of many European Socialists towards Communism. The principal obstacle to the realisation of true Socialism in many parts of the world, he implied, is Communism and not Capitalism,
