The backlash against Jeremy Clarkson continues this morning - despite him tweeting what has been described as an apology after his comments in The Sun about Meghan Markle.  By yesterday evening, the press regulator IPSO had 12 thousand complaints about his opinion piece in which he said he hated Meghan “on a cellular level.”
His article also attacked Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon…who warned him that "words have consequences".
Jeremy Clarkson tweeted an apology, saying:  "Oh dear. I’ve rather put my foot in it.  I shall be more careful in future."  But critics such as Chris Packham believe his comments are hate speech.
The Sun removed the article from its website yesterday afternoon, three days after it was published.
