Adrian says: 'The idea of Roundtable is a good one, which seems to work very successfully. It has just the right combination of speech, music and opinion, and I see it as a thinking review show. which goes perhaps a little deeper than say Juke Box Jury did. We have a very mixed bag of guests coming up. most of whom are in the music business, but I'd like to try and expand the range to include people not necessarily connected with the pop world, who I feel would have a lot of interesting things to say about the music anyway. Everybody on Roundtable should say what they really think, and I hope the guests will always feel that they can be totally honest. If I disagree with them. I'll say so. and of course, the Radio 1 listeners might not agree with what we say either. My personal tastes are bound to emerge when I express an opinion, but then with music, one mans fish is always another man's poisson.'
