The annulment was granted on the basis that the marriage had taken place under duress. He had married her to save her from imprisonment under the Polish communist regime.

Jilly has been having a series of recurring nightmares in which she hears footsteps, meets a grotesquely masked stranger in a lift, or is picked up by a taxi driver who turns out to be the same person. Louise Bennett , who in 1945 became Rada's first black female student, died last month. As a tribute, here is an opportunity to hear this documentary again.
Bennett's use of the Jamaican language and preservation of her country's cultural roots made her one of Jamaica's greatest icons.
