The last of five eminent thinkers from around the world speaks about an aspect of sustainable development. The last in the series about catastrophes which have taken place in the past 100 years. The worst floods in Britain in the 20th century took place in 1953. Many died in the South East as the Thames rose, and the Thames Barrier was constructed to prevent a repeat of such floods.
