Simplify Me When I'm Dead
Keith Douglas , writer, artist and fighter, kept ajoumal of the battle for North Africa, Alamein to Zem Zem, that became a classic, and wrote much of the great poetry of the Second World War. He was killed in Normandy just three days after D-Day. With the help of people who knew him, Sean Street reassesses the paradoxical life and work of a poet at once revered and neglected.

Another chance to hear Douglas Livingstone's tribute to the D-Day landings, written after he, the director and the sound recordist attended the 40th anniversary ceremonies in 1984. It tells the story of Dave, played by Ronald Pickup, who goes reluctantly to the reunion, unwilling to face the ghosts from the past and one ghost in particular.
