A conversation with Sir Barnes Wallis

In spite of the inventions which have made him world-famous, Sir Barnes Wallis, of Dambuster fame, says his present project is the biggest of his life. It's a revolutionary concept beside which, he says, the airship R100, the earthquake bombs and even his invention of the swing-wing aircraft become insignificant.
In the garden of his country home in Surrey, Sir Barnes, now 83, talks about his new project with Robert Williams. He reminisces about his earlier years and passes on his recipe for longevity.
