JOHN MCGINN with his choice of music and with information about what you can do or where you can go this Sunday
But if you are, you'll find this programme particularly interesting. Produced and presented by MICHAEL FREEDLAND
When Richard Dimbleby died ten years ago he was Britain's foremost broadcaster. To many he was an institution that embodied establishment values and received opinion. In a conversation with Roger Clark, Jonathan Dimbleby, whose controversial biography has just been published, talks about the man and the myth.
He examines the dispute between Richard Dimbleby and the BBC that ended with his resignation in 1945, the rivalries and jealousies that clouded his career and the attempts to 'oust' him from Panorama. Jonathan Dimbleby also names some of the people inside and outside the BBC who tried to do him down.
