Top chef and restaurateur John Torode, and food writer and ingredients expert Gregg Wallace, are searching for the country's best amateur cook.

The week's heats have produced exceptional cooks, but only the best will make it through to reach the semi-finals. 

They face three tough tests, and must design an exceptional three-course meal that will impress the judges, but first they must prove they have the skill, palate, talent, commitment and the passion to change their lives and pursue a foodie future.

The pressure is on, because only the best will get through to the semi-finals and one step closer to becoming MasterChef...
