On July 10 Her Majesty The Queen took the salute at this unique occasion on Horse Guards Parade.
For the first time all ten Scottish Regiments joined together to Beat Retreat, the traditional ceremony that marks the end of the soldier's working day.
(The ceremony was televised on BBC-1 July 10.)
